(*) Siećczętór and siećczęcieśmy are pronounced as if they were written sieczętór and sieczęcieśmy.

Usually, for days and years ordinals are used. Thus, while the number 1997 would be pronounced as "mil nówczętór nunięta sieć", the date December 23, 1997 would be pronounced as: "wijaśmu trzecu dzieczębrze, en mileśmu nówczęcieśmu nunaśmu siećmu onu". See also date & time.

Usage

The cardinal numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 always have the same case and gender as the dependent word. When the number is 5 or higher the dependent word is always in the genitive plural. This is one of those nice features of Polish that I decided to incorporate into Wenedyk.
When the cardinal number is a compound, the last part of it decides about the case and number of the dependent noun. However, when this last part is 1, then the genitive plural is used.

Normally, the verb follows the logic of the sentence: 1 has singular, all others have plural. However, it is not forbidden to use a singular form for those numbers that are or could be followed by a noun in the genitive plural, although this would clearly be an archaism.

Examples:

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi sta wyna jarberz.
Opposite our house there is one tree.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą dwie jarbrze.
Opposite our house there are two trees.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą trze jarbrze.
Opposite our house there are three trees.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą (sta) cząk jarbrzy.
Opposite our house there are five trees.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą wijęć wyna jarbrzy.
Opposite our house there are twenty-one trees.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą trzęta kotry jarbrze.
Opposite our house there are thirty-four trees.

Surkętrarz nostrzy domi stą (sta) kodrzęta ocy jarbrzy.
Opposite our house there are forty-eight trees.
