Welcome to the pages of Relay 10/R, which took place in the Summer of 2004 (from August 9 to September 21, to be precise). With five rings and no less than sixty different translations, it was the biggest relay ever. If you want to know what the "R" means, if you don't know what a relay is, or if you want to know more about the background of this particular relay, you can read the Introduction. For the rules of the relay, click here. As it is probably rather the content you are interested in, I would suggest you to take a look at the List of translations, where you will find links to every relay entry. Apart from translations into many conlangs, these pages feature smooth English translations, grammatical info, many interlinear translations, images of several texts in their own script, and even few sound recordings. Alternatively, you may prefer browsing through the translations of each individual ring. This will allow you to follow the development of the text in a glance. No details, just texts in conlangs and their English translations. Come and visit Ring A, Ring B, Ring Q, Ring R, or Ring S. A third way to navigate through the relay is starting from the relay text, the starting point of all five rings. It is written in Wenedyk and carries the title "Acięcoń, mał nieparłarz!" (Beware of the Baby!). If you just follow the links, you will see by yourself where you finally end up. If you got attached to the old relay schedule, or if you'd like to see it out of sheer curiosity, you can see it here. For reasons of privacy, I have removed the e-mail addresses. Last but not least, here is a complete list of participants of all previous relays (including this one), compiled for my own convenience and that of future relay masters. What? Your have a conlang and it is not on these pages?! Well, don't worry; worse things have happened! The relay is over, but I am always willing to add new translations of the relay text to these pages. You can find them on the list of translations (scroll down to "direct translations"). New ones are sollicited. If for some reason you have made a translation of this text into your own conlang, don't hesitate to e-mail me. If you do so, please be clear about your name and the name of your conlang, and don't forget to add a link to your website if you have one. Have fun! |
